USPCAS-W Training Workshop Highlights: Learning to Live with Salinity
The U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology conducted “Farmer Facilitators’ Training Workshop: Learning to Live with Salinity.” in collaboration with SOFT and IUCN. This initiative falls under the project “Adopting to Salinity in The Southern Indus Basin-ASSIB.”

๐ฅ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐: Participating in exercises that simulate real-world scenarios to enhance practical learning. Farmers from Malwa and Keti Bandar showcased their roles in the SERL and various other activities and interventions.
The resource persons and experts included Prof. Dr Abdul Latif, USPCAS-W, Prof. Dr Kamran Ansari, Director USPCAS-W, Ms Tahira Baloch, Mr Babar Zaman, Mr Muhammad Yousif Channa, Ms Benazir Kumbhar, Mr Naveed Ali Soomro, Dr Aslam Jarwar, Mr Akhtar Hussain Samoon. This workshop aimed to equip farmer facilitators with essential knowledge and skills to tackle salinity-related issues effectively. The active participation and enthusiasm of the attendees contributed to a vibrant learning environment.
