USPCAS-W Participated in 4th Pakistan Water & Energy Expo 2019 at Expo Center Karachi

U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water, Mehran University Jamshoro participated in 4th edition of 3-day Pak. Water & Energy Expo (PWE), exhibition & conference on November 5-7, 2019 at Expo Centre Karachi. Over 60 companies and research institutes from U.S.A, France, Germany, Turkey, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Pakistan exhibited their research studies, the latest technology and products at more than 100 stalls. As part of this event, USPCAS-W, Mehran UET also conducted a one-day conference on “Water Security & Sustainability” here on 6th November 2019. The event was exclusively focused on Water and Energy, both are crucial elements of every plant utilities and equally important for the sustainable economic developments, wellbeing of public and prosperity of the country.

Along with that an International Conference on Water Security & Sustainability 2019 was organized in collaboration with USPCAS-W on 6th November 2019. Over 15 research studies on significant topics related to Sustainable Water Management and Availability of Water, Its Quality & Treatment was presented in two technical sessions in the conference. First technical session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Kamran Ansari and the research studies were presented by Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal, Dr. Abdul Latif Qureshi, Mr. Waqas Ahmed, Mr. Ghulam Hussain Dars, Ms. Uzma Imran and Julius Gloeckner. And, the second technical session was chaired by Dr. Zubair Ahmed in which Dr. Zeeshan Khatri,
Dr, Muhammad Rizwan, Dr. Awais Khatri, Dr. Tahir Rafique, Mr. Manzoor Mirani and Dr. Syed Sarah Hassan presented their research studies.

The expo offered all exciting business opportunities to exhibitors to showcase their products and technologies as well as trade visitors from Water and Energy Industry to interact under one roof. This event was also focused to provide a platform to research institutes to establish a business network and get aware of the most efficient research solutions and technology of the water and energy industry.

Pak Water & Energy Expo 2019 had a tremendous response from the exhibitors and was well visited by a large number of visitors from the industries and academia.
