USPCAS-W, Mehran UET, Jamshoro, hosted the orientation ceremony for the 9th Batch of students enrolled in the Masters and PhD Program
The U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, hosted the orientation ceremony for the 9th Batch of students enrolled in the Masters and Ph.D. Program – Fall 2022. Sixty-five students were selected for the master’s and Ph.D. programs in Hydraulics, Irrigation, and Drainage (HID), Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), Environmental Engineering (ENV.ENG), and Water, Sanitation and Health Sciences (WaSH).
The Director of USPCAS-W MUET, Professor Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, welcomed and congratulated the new Batch on their acceptance into their desired disciplines. Dr. Mahar stated in his opening remarks that this center is unique in Pakistan and well-known internationally; we have state-of-the-art laboratories, highly qualified Faculty, and adequately equipped classrooms. The Center’s research focuses on the sixth sustainable goal and each of its targets.
Dr Naveed Ahmed, Assistant Professor USPCAS-W, gave a detailed introduction of the Faculty and delivered a detailed presentation on Academic Guidelines. Prof. Dr. Khan Muhammad Brohi, Dean Faculty of Architecture & Civil Engineering, Mehran UET, Faculty, and Staff were also present. With an interactive Q&A session, the orientation ceremony came to a close.
