Pre-Admission Test for MS and PhD program is being conducted by USPCAS-W MUET
The entrance test for MS/PhD fall session 2017 in U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET) Jamshoro was conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2017, in five different cities of Pakistan. In total 380 candidates including 45 female candidates appeared in five different centers established in major cities of the country, where the test was conducted simultaneously. The MUET and USPCAS-W administration monitored the facilities provided to the test candidates and also overall test arrangements at the different centers.
To facilitate the candidates, five pre-admission examination test centers in different important cities of the country were established, which include Pakistan Scientific & Technological Information Center (PASTIC), Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E), Hayatabad Peshawar, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), Quetta, and MUET Jamshoro.
U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) with technical support of University of Utah funded USPCAS-W at MUET offers four different MS/PhD degree courses i.e. Hydraulics, Irrigation and Drainage (HID), Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), Environmental Engineering (Env.Eng) and so far, MS program in Water, Sanitation and Health (WaSH) Sciences. The successful candidates, who meet the criteria, will be enrolled in the above mentioned degree courses of their choices. The offered MS/PhD program is fully funded which covers admission fees, tuition fees, transport, field visits, US exchange program expenses. The monthly stipend of Rs.15000 is being provided to the enrolled candidates of the Center, whereas the female candidates avails the well-furnished hostel accommodation at free of the cost, apart from other facilities.
