One-Day Training on Wastewater Operations and Management
The U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water, USPCAS-W, recently organized a highly impactful one-day training session on “Wastewater Operations and Management (Industrial)” at Soorty Enterprises (PVT) as part of the CPEC Project’s initiative for “Eco-Innovation for Sustainable Industrial Growth in Special Economic Zones (ECZS).”
The training delved into crucial challenges faced by the textile industry, primarily focusing on ammonia recovery, dye wastewater treatment, and achieving zero liquid discharge. The training underscored the importance of embracing a circular economy mindset, aiming to close the loop on resource utilization and minimize environmental impact, emphasizing transforming waste materials into raw materials for other industries. Mainly, sustainable management of textile sludge through energy-generating incineration processes, aligning with eco-friendly practices.
The event was a collaborative effort to propel the textile industry towards sustainable and eco-friendly practices. USPCAS-W remains committed to fostering knowledge-sharing initiatives that drive positive change.
