MS/PhD Students of USPCAS-W, MUET Jamshoro went to the lake for their filed study trip on Friday, February 26, 2016
Lake Manchar is located at a distance of 18 kilometers from Sehwan Sharif on west side of the River Indus, in district Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. It is the major freshwater lake in Pakistan and one of Asia’s largest. The area of the lake can vary with the seasons from as little as 350 square kilometers to as much as 520 square kilometers. Water comes in this lake from large number of small streams in the Kirthar Mountains and transfers into the Indus River. Currently, Lake Manchar is populated by the houseboat people of Mohana also known as Mirbahar. Recently the MS/PhD Students of USPCAS-W, MUET Jamshoro went to the lake for their filed study trip on Friday, February 26, 2016.
