A live Painting Competition was organized by Women Resource Center (WRC) of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology at Jamshoro

Theme of the painting was “Women Empowerment” in which some real hard work and innovative ideas were portrayed by the participants. Nearly 50 participants from the University of Sindh, Center of Excellence in Arts & Design, Media Production Arts and University of Arts & Culture participated in the event. The key purpose of this competition was to encourage young talent and give them a platform to showcase their talent and outreach the women of different institutes and inform them about the existence of WRC at Mehran University. 

The paintings were evaluated by 3 reputable Judges in the field of arts viz: Mr. Abdul Malik of CEAD, Mr. Saeed Mangi of Sindh University and Mr. Tariq Abro a freelance artist. Ms. Fiza Naseer (University of Sindh) secured 1st position got 15,000 cash prize, 2nd position was secured by Ms. Seema Chandio (University of Arts and Culture) got 10,000 cash prize, 3rd position was secured by Mr. Mubashir Mehdi (University of Sindh) and an appreciation award was also given to one of the participant Ms. Hoorain Touseef (The Smart College) got 3,000 cash prize.

The event was largely attended by students, faculty and staff of Mehran University along with the team of professors and experts from University of Utah USA.
