Highlights from the 6th HAI Committee Meeting at USPCAS-W
The 6th meeting of the Hydro-Agro Informatics (HAI) Program Committee was successfully held at the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), MUET, Jamshoro.
Prof. Dr. Kamran Ansari, Director of USPCAS-W, delivered an insightful presentation on the Inception Report, outlining HAI Services and methodologies for the designing phase of the HAI Program. The program’s framework has been developed in collaboration with the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS), Bangladesh, ensuring innovative and effective strategies are adopted.
Distinguished participants included Mr Nazeer A. Essani, Project Coordinator, PCMU Unit, Sindh; Dr Liaquat Ali Bhutto, PD SWAT (Agriculture); Mr Jamaluddin Mangan, PD, SWAT (Irrigation); Prof. Dr Bakhshal Lashari, Professor Emeritus, USPCAS-W, Muhammad Karim, Manager, FAO-UN, PCMU, Mr. Ghulam Ali, PCMU, SWAT, GoS, USPCAS-W Key Experts and Officials from SIDA, Agriculture, PMIS and the Government of Sindh (GoS) attended the meeting.
The meeting concluded with interactive discussions and valuable insights, laying the groundwork for the practical design of the HAI Program for Sindh. The HAI Program is set to revolutionize the hydro-agro sector, ensuring sustainable water and agricultural management solutions in Sindh.
