Four-day International Training on “Bridging The Critical Data Gap” Sustainable Water Resource Management using Satellite Altimetry Data
The inaugural ceremony of the four-day International Training on “Bridging The Critical Data Gap” Sustainable Water Resource Management using Satellite Altimetry Data held at USPCAS-W, Mehran UET, Jamshoro.
In the welcome address Prof Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, Director of the National Water Center, greeted the resource person Dr. Stefano Vignudelli and all the training participants from different organizations, including Sindh Irrigation Department, LUMS, SUPARCO and PCRW; and described the importance of using satellite altimetry to measure the level and water flow.
Dr. Arjumand Zaidi, Senior Research fellow, USPCAS-W, and Principal Investigator of the Project, gave the overview of the four-day training. Prof. Dr Abdul Latif Qureshi, USPCAS-W, and other faculty and staff were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
