Focused Group Meeting (FGM) was held at the SITE Association of Industries, Karachi Office with Stakeholders of the Food Sector under the project entitled “Eco-innovation for Sustainable Industrial Growth of Major Industrial Sectors in Special Economic Zones (ECZs) under CPEC.” The agenda of the FGM was to identify the significant environmental challenges faced by the food industries and the eco-innovation measures industries take to cater to these challenges. Water conservation, energy efficiency and the use of chemicals in food industries were the prime focus of FGM. Representatives of different food industries from the SITE industrial area Karachi and the members of the SITE association of industries attended the meeting.
