Computerized Pre-Entry Test Successfully Conducted for MS and PhD Programs of USPCAS-W at Mehran UET Jamshoro
Today marked a significant milestone as the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, conducted the computerized pre-entry test for admission to its esteemed MS and PhD programs.
Distinguished officials, including Prof. Dr Aneel Kumar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of MUET; Prof. Dr Rizwan Ali Memon, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering at MUET; Mr Lachman Das Sothar, Registrar of MUET; Prof. Dr Kamran Ansari, Director of USPCAS-W; Mr Saleem Ahmed Memon, Director of ICPC MUET; and other esteemed officials, undertook an extensive review of the entry test arrangements during their visit to the Department of Software Engineering at MUET.
A total of 65 dedicated and aspiring students participated in the computer-based entry test from all corners of Pakistan. Recognizing the diverse geographic locations of the candidates, USPCAS-W established three separate test centres – at Mehran UET Jamshoro, BUITEMS Quetta, and PASTIC Islamabad – to ensure equitable access to the entrance examinations.
The pre-entry test evaluated candidates for their potential admission to various programs that include Hydraulics, Irrigation and Drainage (HID); Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM); Environmental Engineering (Env. Engg.); and Water Sanitation and Health Sciences (WaSH) at the MS and PhD levels.
The successful candidates emerging from this rigorous selection process will be privileged to pursue their academic endeavours within the esteemed walls of USPCAS-W.
