
Agreement Signing Ceremony for Soil Survey and Mapping under the SWAT Project
A significant Signing Ceremony was signed between the Agriculture Delivery Unit (ADU) and the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) for Soil Survey, Analysis, and Mapping under the Integrated Waterlogging and Salinity Program of the Sindh Water and Agriculture Transformation (SWAT) Project.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Kamran Ansari, Director of USPCAS-W, and Dr. Liaqat Ali Bhutto, Project Director, ADU, SWAT, Agriculture Department, Government of Sindh.
The ceremony was attended by notable representatives, including Mr G. Mustafa Ujjan (Program Implementation Advisor, ADU, SWAT), Mr. Nabi Bux Jamro (Consultant, ADU), Mr. Shahid Memon (Procurement Incharge, ADU), as well as Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Qureshi, Prof. Dr. Kazi Suleman, Dr. Muhammad Ali, Dr. Ghulam Hussain Dars, and Mr. Naeem Dal from USPCAS-W.
This collaboration marks a vital step toward achieving sustainable water and agricultural transformation in Sindh, addressing critical challenges such as waterlogging and salinity through innovative research and implementation.
