A retreat was organized with the students of USPCAS-W at MUET Jamshoro on Saturday at the completion of 1st year academic session.
A retreat was organized with the students of U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Jamshoro on Saturday at the completion of first year academic session. In meeting, the overview on strategic planning process of vision, mission, objectives, strategy and actions (VMOSA) of the center were discussed. The students of center were further divided into groups to brainstorm on curriculum, research, training, governance and other components of the program. The students were also asked for their vision and understanding to foresee this center within the time frame of the project and also to share their views on the implementations of Gender Equity Plan.
In this retreat, the feedback on the best practices, motivation factors and potential opportunities of the center were also sought from the students. The retreat was moderated by three water experts namely; Mr. Nazeer Ahmed Essani, Dr. Fateh Mohammad Mari and Dr. Suleman Kazi. The retreat meeting was supervised by Dr. Bakhshal Khan Lashari, Project Director USPCAS-W and Dr. Mohammad Aslam Chaudhry, Chief of Party, USPCAS-W, University of Utah, USA. The faculty and staff of the center also participated in the meeting.
