British Deputy High Commissioner Karachi, Ms. Sarah Mooney visited Mehran UET, Jamshoro
Her Excellency Ms Sarah Mooney, the British Deputy High Commissioner to Karachi, Pakistan, led a distinguished delegation, which included Mr. Adam Mahmoud, Second Secretary, and Ms. Sarah Peng, Trade Manager, on a visit to Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro.
Accompanied by Prof. Dr Tauha Hussain Ali, Vice-Chancellor of MUET, and Prof. Dr. Aneel Kumar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of MUET, the delegation was hosted by Prof. Dr. Kamran Jan Ansari, Director of USPCAS-W. Together, they embarked on a tour of U.S.- Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), exploring its cutting-edge infrastructure, advanced laboratories, and state-of-the-art facilities, all meticulously established to advance water-related research and innovation.
During the visit, Dr. Ansari provided the delegates with a comprehensive overview of the remarkable progress achieved by USPCAS-W. He emphasized the Center’s ongoing research endeavours, consultative initiatives, diverse project portfolio, and notable accomplishments, focusing on addressing Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG Goal 6) related to clean water and sanitation.
The tour left a lasting impression on the visiting British delegates, who expressed their appreciation for the extensive research activities and global contributions made by USPCAS-W in the field of water management, Climate Change and sustainability.
