USPCAS-W hosted a workshop aimed at consolidating insights gained from the engagement of the Adapting to Salinity in the Southern Indus Basin (ASSIB) project
The U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology hosted a workshop aimed at consolidating insights gained from the engagement of the Adapting to Salinity in the Southern Indus Basin (ASSIB) project with various stakeholders. The workshop focused on refining the research and learning model while charting a course for future research endeavours to facilitate its widespread implementation. Additionally, the event provided a platform to delve into the perspectives and experiences of farmers through a Farmer-Facilitated SERL workshop.
Funded by the Australian Government via the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), the ASSIB project brought together key participants from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), SHM, CET, and SOFT. The workshop expertly guided by Dr. Michael Searle Mitchell from Charles Sturt University, Australia; Dr. Sandra Heaney-Mustafa from the University of Canberra; and Dr. Jehangir Framroze Punthakey from Ecoseal, Australia. This collaborative effort seeks to enhance sustainable strategies for addressing salinity challenges in the Southern Indus Basin region.
