National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC) Team Conducts Accreditation Visit for BS Environmental Science Program at USPCAS-W, Mehran UET, Jamshoro
The U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, successfully hosted the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC) accreditation visit for its BS Environmental Science (BSES) program on April 27, 2026. The visit was conducted as part of the ongoing accreditation process, following the earlier pre-/zero accreditation evaluation.
The visiting expert panel conducted a comprehensive assessment of the BSES program, evaluating its compliance with national academic standards, curriculum structure, academic delivery, and quality assurance mechanisms. The visit included a detailed evaluation of course files, laboratory facilities, and academic records, as well as an observation of the Center’s teaching methodologies and digital learning systems.
The accreditation team held interactive sessions with students and faculty members to assess academic engagement, learning outcomes, and research exposure. Students shared their academic experiences, practical training, and career perspectives, while faculty members highlighted teaching practices, research integration, and continuous improvement measures.
A formal meeting was also held with Prof. Dr. Rizwan Ali Memon, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture & Civil Engineering; Prof. Dr. Kamran Ansari, Director, USPCAS-W; Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Gadhi, BSES Program Coordinator; and the Director, QEC, MUET, during which institutional support, governance, and quality assurance processes were discussed in detail.
The accreditation team appreciated USPCAS-W’s effective management of the BSES program, particularly the integration of advanced online academic mechanisms alongside strong theoretical and practical learning components. The availability of well-equipped laboratories, the structured academic processes, and the faculty’s commitment were also acknowledged.
This visit reflects the continued commitment of USPCAS-W and MUET to maintaining high academic standards and delivering quality education in environmental sciences aligned with national and global needs.
