The MUET Harassment Complaint Cell operates according to the guidelines laid down by Higher Education Commission (described in code of conduct). The Complaints of any form of harassment may be lodged at the MUET HCC.
Any unwelcome sexual advance, request for sexual favour or other verbal or written communication or physical conduct of a sexual nature or sexually demeaning attitudes, causing interference with work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment, or the attempt to punish the complainant for refusal to comply to such a request or request or is made a condition for employment.

Focal Persons:
As soon as a complaint or report is received by designated resources or any member of the HEI administration, depending on the nature and seriousness of the offence, the Focal Persons shall take appropriate steps to provide interim measures that may be requested by the affected persons or as otherwise may be deemed appropriate.

Inquiry Committee Members:
The Inquiry Committee is vested with the exclusive and final authority to conduct rigorous investigations into all received complaints, evaluate the evidence impartially, and pass binding decisions or disciplinary actions regarding any established policy violations.

Appellate Body:
The Appellate Body will act as against the decision of the Inquiry Committee. The Appellate Body may be considered the appeal and any other relevant material or modify the decision within 30 days in respect of which such appeal is made, and shall communicate the decision to both the parties, the VC and the Inquiry Committee.
