Ms. Naila Gul is an accomplished environmental engineer and researcher, currently serving as a Research Officer and Lab Technician at the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro. With over eight years of experience in prestigious academic and research institutions, she specializes in environmental engineering, sustainability, and experiential learning.
She completed both her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Environmental Engineering (2012) and her Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Environmental Engineering and Management (2016) from MUET, Jamshoro, securing a distinguished second position in her bachelor's degree.
Ms. Naila has been actively involved in numerous high-impact research and consultancy projects, serving as a Research Analyst for initiatives funded by UNICEF, Australia Awards, and USAID. Her notable work includes water quality analysis, water governance support in Jacobabad, and the construction of a pilot-scale wetland for wastewater treatment. Her outstanding contributions to clean water and sanitation earned her the prestigious QUT Impact Stories Award (2021) for developing a natural wastewater treatment system that saves thousands of liters of water daily for the community. She is also an alumna of the Australia Awards program, through which she gained valuable international exposure in Australia and Nepal.
