Biography
Dr. Kazi Suleman Memon is a distinguished academician and agricultural scientist, currently serving as the Manager Research at the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro. With an illustrious career spanning over four decades, Dr. Memon has made pioneering contributions to the fields of Soil Science, Agricultural Chemistry, and institutional research management in Pakistan.
He holds a Doctorate (Ph.D.) and a Master’s degree in Soil Science from the prestigious University of Hawaii, USA (1982), followed by a Post-Doctorate in Soil and Crop Sciences from Texas A&M University, USA (1991). He completed his early academic foundations with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Agricultural Chemistry from the University of Sindh.
Dr. Memon has held several key leadership positions throughout his career, including Director General of Agriculture Research and Director General of Agriculture Extension for the Government of Sindh. He served as a dedicated Professor and Chairman of the Department of Soil Science at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, where he shaped the careers of countless students and researchers. His expertise covers soil fertility, nutrient management, agricultural sustainability, and project coordination. At USPCAS-W, he continues to guide and drive impactful research initiatives, bridging the gap between water resources and agricultural productivity.
