In this connection, the USPCAS-W team comprised of three faculty members i.e.\u00a0Ms. Uzman Imran,\u00a0Dr. Asmatullah\u00a0and\u00a0Mr. Muhammad Ali\u00a0visited three universities of Balochistan province. The team visited\u00a0Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University\u00a0(SBKWU),\u00a0Balochistan University of Information Technology\u00a0(BUITEMS) Quetta, and\u00a0Baluchistan University of Engineering & Technology\u00a0(BUET) Khuzdar on April 17-18, 2017.<\/p>\n
During this outreach visit, the team informed the participants about the Center\u2019s scope, aims, and objectives. The given presentations covered the introduction of Centers for Advanced Studies (CAS) project of USAID, the partnership with the American Universities in general and about the technical support provided by\u00a0The University of Utah\u00a0(UU) to MUET for strengthening of\u00a0USPCAS-W, in particular.<\/p>\n
It focused on activities being carried out by this partnership like course development, mentoring process, UU mission visits, exchange visits, research facilities and so on. Further participants were informed about the admission policy, eligibility criteria, exchange scholarship opportunities, research facilities at the Center. At the end, team shared about Center\u2019s gender policy and its achievements. The events were attended by 400 to 500 relevant participants including students, faculty members, and administration staff.
