In his message of the day and on this year\u2019s theme -\u201cBeat Plastic Pollution\u201d, Dr. Mahar said that in Pakistan the use of plastic has increased at the alarming level, pollutes the rivers and sea, poses threat in the climate and ultimately affects the lives of people, animal and plants. \u201cEnvironment is actually a human attitude towards nature\u201d, Dr. Mahar defines, he added that for the collective benefit and healthy life of human being, the human attitude towards nature should be friendly. Dr. Mahar further said that human was created from soil and water \u2013 the key components of the environment while the contamination of any two will ultimately affect the people, animals, flora and fauna. \u201cHealthy environment is prerequisite for the healthy life\u201d, he added. He was of the view that by minimizing the use of plastic could lead for the healthy environment and healthy life. He said that in modern curricula of different\u00a0disciplines of engineering, science and even of the humanities are being reformed according to the environment needs of today\u2019s life. He further said that the MS\/PhD Scholars of USPCAS-W MUET were being taught for healthy environmental practices in their professional and personal lives.<\/p>\n
