Dr. Muneer A. Qazi was born in Sukkur, Pakistan on 20th February, 1985. Dr. Qazi successfully completed his Masters in Microbiology, from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur during session 2006-2007. Dr. Qazi completed his M. Phil in Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad during 2009, and due to his excellent grades and passion towards research, he was offered a PhD position under supervision of Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmed. He worked as a research associate for 1 year in Higher Education Commission (HEC) funded project entitled as “Production and Characterization of biosurfactants produced by indigenous microorganisms”. He was also awarded a full PhD scholarship by HEC. He was awarded a six months foreign scholarship under International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) during 2012. He worked with Prof. Dr. Ludo Diels at Flemmish Institute of Technological Research (VITO) and University of Antwerp, Belgium. Dr. Qazi was awarded Ph.D. degree in May, 2014. After completing higher education, Dr. Qazi was appointed as Assistant Professor under Interim Placement for Fresh PhDs (IPFP) program of HEC, in the Department of Microbiology, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur for one year, i.e. Sept. 2014 to Sept. 2015. Dr. Qazi has over all 47 publications (14 full-length articles in peer refereed journals, 01 abstract publication, and around 33 conference publications) in his profile record within 3-4 years. Due to his excellent performance and hardworking nature, his services were continued as Assistant Professor on contract basis till his selection board. Meanwhile, Dr. Qazi was offered a faculty position in USAID-funded US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), Institute of Water Resource Engineering and Management (IWREM), at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. Dr. Muneer left Shah Abdul Latif University in December, 2016 and he is currently working as Assistant Professor in USPCAS-W since January, 2017.
