Dr. Abdul Latif Qureshi
USPCAS-W Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan.
Dr. Qureshi has more than 25 years experience as a professional engineer in the field of hydraulics, irrigation and drainage including research, teaching and supervising research projects to the graduate engineers. He has worked for monitoring and evaluation of irrigation and drainage projects, sediment transport in distributaries, design of irrigation channels, seepage losses, lining of watercourses, groundwater recharge, root-zone salinity management, operation and maintenance of surface drains, performance evaluation of canal system including main canals, distributaries and watercourses and drainage system. Moreover, studies were carried out for the analysis of hydrographs (single and multiple) especially probabilistic analysis of peak rainfall and runoff of different catchments, water resources management (ground and surface water), flood routing, model studies for hydraulic characteristics of drop structures in horizontal and sloping rectangular flume/channel & scouring in downstream of sluice gates.
